GILLESPIE STUDIO Re-scheduling of Current Students: Aug 21 - Sept 8. Once all current students' lesson times are settled, prospective students will be considered and scheduled according to their order on the WAITING LIST. Prospective students might not be contacted if there are no openings left once the new season begins. Any student who has not heard from GILLESPIE STUDIO before the second full week of Sept should assume that our schedule is full. They should seek lessons elsewhere or wait until a spot opens up, at which time they will be contacted according to their order on the WAITING LIST. Some holidays will NOT be treated as "off" days (i.e., Martin Luther King Day, Presidents' Day, and Fall Break) unless otherwise announced. Otherwise, studio "off" days generally will reflect the Hamilton County school year calendar. New Season begins Mon, Sept 8 Thanksgiving Day: Thur, Nov 27: No lessons will be scheduled on this day. Winter Break: Dec 22 - Jan 3: No lessons will be scheduled during this period. Spring Break: April 5 - 12: No lessons will be scheduled during this week. End-of-school-year break: Mon, May 25 - Sun, Jun 7: No lessons will be scheduled during this period. Current students may re-schedule for the summer months. Prospective students will be contacted according to their order on the WAITING LIST only once all current students' lesson times are settled, and only when spots become available. End-of-summer break (end of 08-09 season): Aug 24-Sept 7. Current students may re-schedule for the new season (09-10). This period also serves as a BONUS MAKEUP period. Prospective students will be contacted according to their order on the WAITING LIST only once all current students' lesson times are settled, and only when spots become available. New season begins Tue, Sept 8. FLOATER OFF DAYS: There are 44 possible lesson days throughout the year; one "floater off day" will be announced for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday to make each day of the week yield the same yearly total lessons. Any off day (including floater off days) can be used as makeup time (depending on availability of student and instructor). |
