GILLESPIE STUDIO FEES

Most lessons and services at GILLESPIE STUDIO fall under a single rate:

$50/hr (or $25/half-hr)

This rate is subject to change, but this occurs rarely, and usually only at the beginning of a new school year. Any changes are minimal.

Music lesson payment is handled according to the following Monthly Payment Plan:

Monthly Payment Plan

1. Lessons will be either 1/2hr or hr, once a week. While the minimum required time slot is 1/2hr, and while all time slots will be scheduled to begin and end on the hour or half-hour, siblings may divide any single stretch of time any way they wish (one for 20 minutes, one for 10, or one for 45 minutes, one for 15), subject to instructor approval.

2. Total number of lessons will be calculated for an entire season (usually for an entire school year, from Sept - Aug). Days off will be applied to the calculation (see SCHEDULE). A fee for that total will be tallied according to a weekly rate. That total fee will then be divided by the number of months for that period, resulting in an average fee per month. This average fee, therefore, is the same each month, regardless of how many lessons actually occur during any given month.

3. The monthly fee will be due at the first regularly scheduled lesson each month. If your first lesson during a given month happens to be a makeup lesson (vs. a regular lesson), your fee is not due at that lesson. Checks or cash accepted (sorry, no credit cards, yet!). 4. Should you forget your payment, you may mail it to: T. H. Gillespie, 11312 Crows Nest, Fishers, 46038, or drop it by later that day or week.

5. If a student fails to pay a monthly fee during any given month or chooses to stop lessons long enough to comprise a month's fee (vs. scheduling makeups), that student's lesson slot will be made available to the next prospective student waiting to begin lessons. The only way to reserve and maintain your time slot is to keep up the monthly payment. This is simply a way to be fair to all students, current and prospective.

6. The weekly lesson fee is $25/half-hour ($50/hr) through the end of the 07-08 season (through about the 3rd week of August), so the monthly fee will be as follows:

each 1/2 hr lesson = $25, each hr lesson = $50
total amount for entire season = $1,100 for 1/2 hr students, $2,200 for hr students

7. If a student begins lessons with GILLESPIE STUDIO on a day which is not during the normal pay week, s/he will NOT be charged for that full month, but only for the lessons taken during that first month. The monthly fee will be charged normally beginning the first full month of lessons.
